Year End Aussie Pairs Tournament

The lawn bowling season finished up with our annual Aussie Pairs Tournament. This year we had 10 men and 10 women so we were able to make it a mixed tournament. It was run like a jitney so teams were changed after each game. Total points earned determined who our top three finishers were.

For the ladies, Barb Moll accumulated the most points and won $50. Pat Ferrier finished second and won $30, and Susan Ethier was third and won $20.

On the men's side, Braydon Gordon took the $50 prize, with Doug Sanregret and Denis Ethier sharing the $30 second place prize, and Denis Ethier winning $20 for third. 

Gilchrist Wins Second Men's Title

Mike Gilchrist capped off an almost perfect season with a win over Braydon Gordon in the men's singles championship. It was Gilchrist's second singles title in a row, and Gordon's first time in the final. Denis Ethier took the bronze medal with a 9-8 win over Cave Starling. 

Ladies Singles League

The ladies singles league crowned their champion. Janette Starling won her third championship in four years with a convincing win over the defending champion, Barb Moll. Pat Ferrier won the bronze medal. 

Pairs Champs Crowned

Sam Ferrier and Wes Bresee took the pairs league championship easily over Curt and Barb Moll. The will have their named engraved on the HJ Cove Memorial Trophy.

Red Amos Trophy Awarded

The pairs teams of Denis Ethier, Yvonne Sanregret, and Doug Sanregret had to come from behind to win 9-8 over Janette and Cave Starling to win the Red Amos Trophy, awarded to the team that wins the B side championship in pairs league. 

Ethier was a late edition to the team due to injury.
