Jitney Champs Declared

Jitney is meant to be more of a social event that is played every Wednesday. Everybody plays two 6 end games, points are added up, and a high man and woman win a paltry sum share of the pot. 

However, there is an overall jitney champion declared and for the third time in a row, Linda Bower wins it for the ladies side, and Mike Gilchrist for the men's side. 

Gilchrist and Gilchrist Win H. J. Cove Championship

Mike and Marina Gilchrist won their first pairs league championship with a 12-6 win over three time champions and number one seeds, Wes and Jean Bresee. The Gilchrist's got to the final after defeating the defending H.J. Cove Memorial Trophy champions, Curt and Barb Moll, 12-8 the previous week. 

Sanregret's Take the Red Amos Trophy

Doug and Yvonne Sanregret won the pairs B championship with an 11-5 win over Cave and Janette Starling. It is the Sanregret's first Red Amos Trophy win!

Moll Defends Men's Singles Championship

Curt Moll successfully defended his men's singles championship with a 13-5 win over Mike Gilchrist. Gilchrist actually started strong by going up 5 after only two ends. However, Moll wouldn't allow Gilchrist to get another point for the entire match and won the last 10 ends. It was Moll's fourth men's championship since 2017.

In the bronze medal game, new bowler Cave Starling defeated Doug Sanregret 12-10. 

On the B side, Sam Ferrier took the gold with an 11-9 win over Frank Buck. Braydon Gordon took the bronze last week with a lost to Buck. 

Ladies Season Comes to an End With New Bowler as Champion

The ladies league, the first time in several years there were enough ladies to have their own league, came to an end tonight with a new champion.

First year bowler, Janette Starling, took out previous two time champion, Barb Moll, 10-9, to win her first championship in her first year. It was Barb's second year in a row as runner up. 

In the bronze medal game, last year's champion, Yvonne Sanregret defeated Joyce-Ann Bacon 13-9, to win the bronze medal. 

Rentals Ending September 16

Darkness is coming sooner and sooner each passing day. Because of this, the club will no longer be taking any rentals after Saturday, September 16.
