Sheila Lucks, past member, passes away

Members were saddened to learn that Sheila Lucks, a long time past member of the club, passed away on November 17 at the age of 91.

LUCKS Sheila Phyllis Marie Lucks of Medicine Hat passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014, at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Rosalie and Arthur Kirkness and her brother John. Sheila was born on March 1, 1923 in Red Deer. Her family relocated to Medicine Hat where she received all her schooling. Sheila worked at the CPR office as a time clerk for 43 years. She then had various jobs retiring from CFB Suffield as accounts payable clerk. Sheila was a long time member of the Veiner Centre, The Legion Ladies Auxiliary selling memberships, the Historical Society as well as many others. No formal funeral service will be held. Sheila will be laid to rest with her mother in the Hillside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. - 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 8E8.
