Information from the Spring General Meeting

Items brought up at the general meeting tonight:
  • A concern was raised regarding the state of the new greens. Jerry assured everyone that the grass looks as bad as it does right now due to the dry winter we had. The grass was extremely dry. They will be aerating and over-seeding it soon and it is expected to be playable again in mid to late June. The wetter weather as of late will be very beneficial for the grass.
  • Annual dues have been raised to $30/person and $35/family per year.
  • New people will be given two chances to lawn bowl at no cost. On their third visit they will be expected to join the club.
  • Curt is going to start a competitive singles (co-ed) league the week after jitney begins.  It will be a round robin format that will run Monday evenings to mid September. One game of 12 ends per week. The cost has yet to be determined but won't exceed $2/week.
  • Another spring clean up will take place on Saturday, May 5 at 1000 hrs. Clubhouse cleaning and some light work around the grounds will be the order of the morning. Hope you can make it out.
